Jacket insulation pipes are not recommended to be installed or pre-installed with electric heat tracing , because jacket insulation pipes are often used in the ground, high tightness or no high insulation requirements. Its external insulation and protective layer are pre-installed before leaving the factory, and can be spliced after arriving at the scene.
If the electric heat tracing is pre-installed before leaving the factory, it will bring difficulties to the on-site pipeline construction, and the electric heat tracing wiring is also a difficult problem. If the pipeline is installed and then the electric heat tracing is installed, it will not achieve much thermal insulation effect; after all, a thick insulation cotton and a protective layer are separated between the electric heat tracing and the pipeline. The electric heat tracing and the heat tracing pipes can be attached in parallel to achieve the maximum effect; even if the design requirements, the middle spacer layer should not be too thick.
Some jacket insulation pipes are pre-installed with electric heat tracing, which is for special requirements and the use of shorter distance pipes. Conversely, when electric tracing is needed to maintain process temperature or anti-freeze insulation, it is not suitable to choose a jacket insulation tube.
