High-temperature electric heat tracing is a thermal insulation measure that solves the requirements of high exposure temperature or high working temperature. It can not only operate normally in high-temperature environment, but also can heat the heat-tracing substance at high temperature. Molten salt CSP stations are mostly tower-type, and the upper limit of molten salt operating temperature is 560 degrees Celsius. When the temperature reaches 220 degrees Celsius or below, it will solidify. In this case, the heat preservation is high-temperature heat tracing.
The use of heat-insulating materials for molten salt pipelines can only solve the problem of not losing heat or reducing heat loss, and cannot keep the molten salt within the working temperature range. Therefore, it is not enough to adopt adiabatic insulation measures for the molten salt transmission pipelines of CSP stations. It also needs to be compensated for high heat to avoid solidification of the molten salt. The use of high-temperature electric heat tracing can not only improve the thermal efficiency, but also ensure the safe operation of CSP stations. Compared with electric heating, it is more energy-saving and environmentally friendly, saving investment costs.

Anti-condensation and heat preservation of molten salt pipelines with high-temperature electric heat tracing


The transmission pipelines of molten salt in CSP stations are usually short, in order to improve the thermal efficiency of electric heat tracing . Therefore, the focus of protection is on the heat collection tower, molten salt heat sink, heat sink valve, heat sink cavity and other places that are liable to generate large heat losses (as shown in the figure above). In short, the working temperature of high-temperature electric heat tracing can reach several hundred degrees, and the temperature can be accurately controlled by the temperature control device; combined with the use of adiabatic insulation materials, anti-condensation and heat preservation, and safety protection are both correct.
